Guruvayoor

This temple has an important role in the history of the country as lord Padmanabha was crowned the Emperor of Travancore in the 17th century and the temple belongs to the Royal family of Travancore. He is also preserved in the premises of the temple, though people are not allowed to visit it. Why Manali is a favourite destination for every delhite

Delhi to Kasauli – A family trip

With the unforgiving summers in Delhi plan a trip to the hills. Kasauli is the best place because it works out to be a perfect road trip with your family and does not fall in the usual list of hill stations. Plan a trip in such a way that it takes you 4 days and in between halt for 2 days at Chandigarh so that you can unwind yourself and do not face the trouble of a tiresome journey.
The distance from Delhi to Kasuali roughly takes around 6 to 8 hours, which is dependent on the traffic and the prevailing road conditions. The route to cover this destination is easy as one has to take NH1 or the Great Trunk Road from Delhi to Ambala and then divert to NH22 for Ambala. The roads are fairly in good condition for the entire duration of the trip. It is suggested that you take a break on your trip for a day each while coming and going at Chandigarh.
It is suggested that you start early in the morning from Delhi as the outer limit of Delhi roughly takes around 2 hours and the late you start the more traffic you are bound to encounter.
